Just John and UpChuck represented us WELL as you can imagine!
WAY TO GO, GUYS!
Two long, full days and 6 workouts later, and they both looked strong (and had stellar form... I'm just sayin'...)!
Thanks also to Maren for judging the event- she LOVED it! Wiped out from the experience, but I think she'd do it again (and may recruit some of you!)
Many of our previous competitors couldn't commit to the 2 full days this go around, but I've heard rumblings already about interested participants for the next one!
Scaled or RX'd- you're highly encouraged to jump in and give it all you got!
Thanks to CF TNT for hosting- quite an undertaking to organize and cycle all the athletes through efficiently.
Bean emailed that CF MetroEast posted a pic of our black t's on their site! Hey, hey!
(Thanks to Bean and Maren for sharing pics!)
UpChuck:
ALL SAID AND DONE!
RIGHT AFTER WOD #6!
Bean's favorite moment from Saturday:
Please email stories, highlights, funny moments from the weekend's competition when you get the chance!
Alena, our little Czecher, keeping up with the push up challenge while hitting the slopes in Alta.
She sure knows how to live, doesn't she?!
This is an annual ski trip for her while Marketti holds down the fort.
Stunning backdrop. Envy over here in the Mottl abode.
(Not that either of us have ever skiied in our lives...)

3 DOWN AND 2 TO GO!
SEE YOU ALL TONIGHT AT 7:15 PM!
I HEART PALEO!
Glanced and saw this shirt in the window driving down Lockwood in Webster and had to stop and take a pic out my car window!
Warning!
This borders on dangerous.
The brussel sprout/bacon/apple dish that Brandon made for Guys' NIght LITERALLY, TRULY, 100% lives up to the hype.
Made it last night in our tornado of Paleo prep for the beginning of the week, and I haven't stopped thinking about it.
Ate more for lunch.
Think I might have more for dinner.
WOW.
Bacon just makes things better...
I doubled it (thank goodness) and still had extra sprouts left, so I quartered them (which I never do when I roast them- typically leave them whole) and threw in some fresh broccoli, coconut oil, cracked black pepper and sea salt.
I'm never turning back.
Quartering the sprouts made them cook so much more evenly! Crispy edges, just right on the inside. YUM-O.
Had 3 heads of cauliflower in the fridge that I didn't have time to use earlier in the week, so in one fell swoop, I chopped the florets in the food processor, added water, steamed them in the microwave, drizzled olive oil on top, sprinkled sea salt and pepper, and voila! An enormous bowl of cauliflower rice.
The kids drizzled coconut aminos on top (which taste like soy sauce) and were happy as clams.
Our workout on Saturday...

Congratulations John and Chuck! Well done!
